The site gave the team a number of challenges in the form of flood protection measures required due to the proximity of the site to the river; asbestos removal from the existing buildings demolished to make way for the hotel; ground remediation; and careful liaison with the York Archaeological Trust. Working closely with the professional team through each stage, our team was able to provide the client with confidence that the project would be delivered within the budget parameters set during feasibility.
The hotel is now trading successfully catering for York’s busy business and tourist market and the 2 and 3 bedroom luxury apartments were quickly sold to private buyers.

We have subsequently been appointed on further projects by this Client.
