Project Overview

We have been working with our repeat Client on the major refurbishment of a 34 key serviced apartment hotel near Sloane Square, bringing it up to 5 star standards. The project, which employs high quality finishes throughout, includes the reconfiguration and upgrade of space to create modern and open plan studio, 1 bed and 2 bed apartments along with the full replacement of all mechanical and electrical service.

The existing building provides numerous challenges, with low ceiling heights requiring detailed design and on-site coordination of services to achieve minimal ceiling voids and provide a clear head height of 2.3m. A restaurant at basement level will remain fully operational throughout the construction works and therefore services to the roof need to be protected and safe access maintained.

During the pre-contract period our cost consultants have been collaborated closely with the interior design team and architect to ensure the Client’s budget aspirations are achieved. Working within the parameters of the main structure to reduce cost, their work has also entailed working with the team to develop finishes that are good value, durable, and in keeping with 5 star hotel standards.

The project is due to complete in summer 2024.
