Victoria Road

Project Overview

We were engaged by an Anglo-American client to work on the full refurbishment and upgrade of their 4 storey Edwardian townhouse, which they last renovated more than 20 years’ ago. The remit was to give their home a more modern and informal palette, with a focus on entertainment space, whilst also showcasing their extensive collection of fine art and porcelain.

A key architectural element was the replacement of the existing conventional staircase with a curved ribbon feature staircase, which completely altered the look and feel of the (now) grand entrance hall.

The re-landscaped garden was lowered to allow continuity of entertainment space from the lower ground drawing room and fully renovated kitchen through to three newly created garden “rooms”. The roof was also replaced and large rooflights installed to flood light into the stairwell and upper floors.

Upon completion, the interior design and garden was featured in Veranda Magazine.
