Bulb Headquarters

As one of the fastest growing renewable energy start-ups in the UK, Bulb needed to rapidly expand their office facilities in line with customer demand and staff growth. The project involved the refurbishment and fit-out of circa 32,000 ft² of office space to create their new headquarters on Bishopsgate.

In fitting with their company ethos, 2 floors of open plan office space were designed with a strong emphasis on natural finished, sustainably sourced materials, biophilia and facilities that promote employee well-being.

The layout was designed to encourage chance meetings and conversations, but also to allow for private work. Ancillary zones were accommodated within the existing core – providing a kitchen for each team, shower rooms, and other supporting facilities – leaving the rest of the floor space as a flexible, reconfigurable workplace.

The scope included a large staff canteen, yoga space and company presentation stage.

The scheme was successfully delivered within 7 months.
