Kennington Park

Project Overview

The Kennington Park development, in the heart of The Oval, will deliver 270,000 ft² of modern, mixed use light industrial, office and studio space across 3 new buildings, each formed of 6 floors. The site was historically used as a timber yard and factory, and the new buildings have been designed with slatted brick pattern façades to reflect this industrial heritage.

Placemaking is central to the new development, with the Client’s brief placing heavy emphasis on creating an attractive destination to visit and enjoy rather than a traditional ‘business park’. New public green spaces and gardens will be inserted into the existing hard landscaping to provide recreational and breakout areas.

We initially supported the Client in the pre-planning stage, with our work including producing a life cycle costing analysis of the design options to ensure the scheme could achieve BREEAM Excellent and WELL accreditation.

We are now employed as the cost consultant to complete the first of the 3 Buildings Block A which has a gross area of around 100,000 ft². Tender is expected the latter half of 2024 with construction completion 18-24 months later.
