Bauer Equipment UK

Bauer Equipment UK are a leading manufacturer of specialist foundation engineering machinery. We were appointed by them in a combined project management, cost consultancy and CDM role for the design and construction of a 10,000 ft² heavy maintenance and servicing facility including extensive external storage and parking areas. The project included bringing the required services infrastructure to the site.

The building is of typical steel portal frame construction with proprietary roof and wall cladding systems. The frame was adapted to allow the installation of large internal hoisting equipment needed for the servicing of the large construction equipment coming into the facility. Additionally the internal floor of the facility and the storage and parking areas were specially designed to withstand the load that will be imposed on them. The works addressed the specific requirements of the remediated development site together with those imposed by the planning permission including issues relating to environmental and ecological matters.
