Ousedale School

Project Overview

Ousedale School is an award winning 11 – 19 academy set across two campuses in Newport Pagnell and Olney. We have a long and successful track record of working with the Client, having supported them through a major upgrade programme for the school buildings and facilities over several years, providing advice during the initial masterplan study and then working with the school on each phase of the construction works.

The works have provided additional teaching spaces, with reconfigured layouts extending and linking existing departments and providing improved access for both pupils and staff. A new geometric reception lodge and administration block was designed to create a modern first impression that reflects the school’s forward looking approach. A new-build Sixth Form Centre draws together existing classrooms and facilities around a double height galleried space. The project was challenging for the project team as a result of working within the constraints of the existing building and planning the construction programme around the academic year to minimise disruption to the day to day operation of the school.

Other phases of the upgrade programme have included renovations to the math’s and science buildings, the addition of new changing rooms, art gallery space, wellbeing areas and an external performance canopy.
