Our team have undertaken a series of projects in support of the school’s ambitious masterplan for redevelopment over a 10 year period. Work to date has included a 35,000 ft² extension to the upper school adding 2 multi-sport gymnasia; the 120,000 ft² refurbishment and upgrade of a series of 1960s teaching buildings; and the modernisation of the school grounds including landscaping, play, sports and amenity areas.

A flagship project was the construction of a state-of-the- art theatre, which replaced the 1970s built poorly-proportioned original. An innovative design radically altered the space, lowering the stage level by 2.8m and remodelling the auditorium and stage. Increased height then enabled the introduction of new technical installations, including stage suspensions and a lighting bridge, as well as a steeper seating rake which improved the focus of the room. Project challenges included extensive structural alterations, which were required to underpin the existing structure and remove existing columns in the stage area.

Most recently we’ve completed a project at the school’s Canons Park sports ground to refurbish the sports pavilion and create an outdoor classroom and ‘adventure garden’ for younger students.
