Bolney Wine Estate

Project Overview

Bolney Wine Estate, owned by the UK arm of the world’s biggest sparkling wine company, Freixenet Copestick, was established in 1972 and is now a leading producer of English wine with over 40 hectares of vineyards.

We recently worked on phase one of the expansion of its hospitality and retail offering. The brief was to create beautiful premium space in keeping with the Bolney brand, allowing hospitality income to continue to grow and increasing visitor capacity by 120%.

The works, which were procured via a two-stage competitive tender, were centred on upgrading the dining experience, creating the new “Eighteen Acre Café” serving local produce seven days per week. Two new wine tour and tasting rooms were created along with a new customer lounge, and two new Enomatic tasting machines were added. The existing retail space was also refreshed.

The project was successfully completed against a very tight programme, and our team worked closely with the Client to control costs and ensure maximum value.
